LOCAL ANESTHESIA:
Local anesthesia is used in most cases and is not painful.
This is the same technology as the one used for tooth extraction or dental treatments.
Local anesthetics are usually of short duration, and you can go home right after surgery.
NEUROLEPT ANALGESIA: (local anesthesia +surgical sedation):
La sédation consiste en une injection de médicament procurant au patient un état de somnolence durant la durée de l'intervention.
For anxious patients or prolonged surgery.
It requires a short hospital stay (a few hours).
GENERAL ANESTHESIA:
For very anxious patients who do not want to “see or hear anything”, or for more complex surgical interventions.
It requires a hospital stay of one or more day(s).
